Golden State Commanding Sports Betting Favorites to Beat Mavs, Win NBA Title
Fact Checked by Michael Peters

The Golden State Warriors used a commanding third quarter to seize control of their Western Conference Finals series against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night.

The Warriors, who wound up beating the Mavs 109-100, have a 3-0 series lead and are one win away from advancing to the franchise’s first NBA Finals in four years.

Golden State rode a transcendent performance by former No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins, who scored a playoff career-high 27 points. Steph Curry led all Warriors in scoring with 31.

As a result, Golden State enters Tuesday night’s Game 4 with a shot at a series sweep and a showdown with either Boston or Miami in the Finals.

Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals tips off at 6 p.m. Pacific time on TNT.

There is no legal California sports betting.

But two different sports betting initiatives will go before voters in November.

Warriors Expand Already Commanding NBA Title Odds

The Warriors have somehow managed to one-up their already staggering NBA title odds on sports betting apps, lapping the field in the process.

Golden State is the only one of the four remaining teams to have plus-odds on winning the 2022 title, ranging from -145 (BetMGM) to -160 (Caesars Sportsbook).

FanDuel is allowing customers to wager on the exact result of the finals, listing the Warriors at +190 to beat the Heat and +260 to beat the Celtics.

If you want to hedge the Warriors, then FanDuel Sportsbook has the Heat at +340 to beat Golden State and Boston at +350 to knock them off in the finals.

Golden State Not Expected to Sweep Mavericks

The Warriors are the slightest of underdogs in Tuesday’s Game 4.

Golden State’s odds range from +1 (Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook) to +1.5 (BetMGM) in Game 4, thanks in large part to Dallas’ 6-2 record at home this postseason.

For those looking to place a moneyline wager, you’ll find the Warriors anywhere from -104 (FanDuel Sportsbook) to -110 (DraftKings Sportsbook).

For now, the road to the 2022 NBA Final runs through the heart of Texas for the Golden State Warriors, with Game 4 providing the first opportunity for the club to clinch its spot in the championship series.
