2023-2024 Los Angeles Clippers Odds: Tracking Clippers Odds

Can Kevin Huerter elevate his play to help the Sacramento Kings odds this year

The trade that sent James Harden to the Los Angeles Clippers lowered the Clippers' championship odds considerably, dropping them from +2300 to +1300 in the first 24 hours after the trade it the news. With Los Angeles off to a 2-1 start, they dealt four players, four draft picks, and a pick swap to Philadelphia to get Harden.

The move immediately gave the Clippers the third-shortest odds to come out of the West behind the defending champion Denver Nuggets (+500) and the Phoenix Suns (+600). These odds have since moved and will likely continue to fluctuate throughout the year and I'll be tracking all of it on this page.

A Quick Glance at the Los Angeles Clippers

Despite 17 playoff appearances in the Clippers' franchise history, the team has not been able to capitalize on any of those postseason trips. In fact, the Clippers are just one of 10 teams to have yet to win an NBA Championship.

The Clippers have been one of the hottest teams in the NBA as it seems as though they've figured out how to maximize the talent of Leonard, Harden, George, and Westbrook. After starting the season 3-7 through their first 10 games, Los Angeles has gone 27-8 since. Because of this, all of the Clippers' futures markets have improved across the board.

Compared to mid-December, the Clippers 2023-2024 win total has shot up by 10 wins and their playoff markets have been removed from most betting sites as they are basically locked into a postseason spot. Los Angeles' Pacific division odds saw a massive swing as well, going from +490 to -550, placing them as the clear betting favorite. For reference, the next closest team is the Sacramento Kings at +550.

Key Contributors on the Clippers Roster

Paul George and Kawhi Leonard were the leading scorers prior to the arrival of Harden, who is a terrific scorer in his own right and averaged 36.1 points with Houston in 2018-19. Also coming over in the trade with Philadelphia was P.J. Tucker, a tough-as-nails defender who has locked horns with Kevin Durant in playoffs in the past. Ivica Zubac and Mason Plumlee are both accomplished centers, and Terrence Mann is a player the Sixers wanted but the Clippers refused to surrender.

The key issues here are 1) Can the Clippers stay healthy? and 2) How will these players co-exist with one another?

Where Can I Bet on the Clippers?

Because sports betting is not yet legal in California, residents there must drive to the neighboring states of Arizona, Oregon, and Nevada to place legal sports wagers. They also can do so across the southern border in Tijuana, Mexico.

Los Angeles Clippers 2023 Schedule: Top Games

With the addition of Harden to a group that already had Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and Russell Westbrook, expectations will be at an all-time high and there will certainly be some big-time games for the Clips. Here are some of the top Clippers games NBA fans will have circled on their calendars.

Vs Los Angeles Lakers, Nov. 1, 10:30 p.m. EDT, ESPN.

This is when we should get our first look at Harden and the first reading on how coach Tyronn Lue plans to use him with Russell Westbrook, as both are accomplished point guards who can both play well off the ball.

At Denver, Nov. 14, 10 p.m. TNT

The first meeting between the Clippers and the Western Conference favorites and defending champion Nuggets makes for a great second half of a TNT doubleheader that begins with Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama facing off in the opener.

At Golden State, Feb. 14, 10 p.m. TNT

By Valentine's Day, we should have a better idea which if these two teams is best constructed to advance in the NBA playoffs. The Warriors have the best shooter in the league in Steph Curry, and the Clippers may just decide to defend him with P.J. Tucker, which could lead to fireworks.

How to Watch the Clippers

The Clippers will be on ESPN six times and may have some of their games moved onto ABC. They are on TNT's national schedule six times and on NBA-TV 10 times. All of their games can be viewed on NBA League Pass and in Los Angeles, their games are televised locally by Bally Sports SoCal, which has filed bankruptcy (which could impact local TV broadcasts later in the season).

How to Get Clippers Tickets

The box office is always touted as choice No. 1, and nba.com/tickets is a good option, as is Ticketmaster, although they tack on a fee. Secondary sites such as Seat Geek have seats, too, with the inventory changing on a game-to-game basis.

Where do the Clippers Play?

The Clippers share the crypto.com arena with the Los Angeles Lakers. They will move into their own arena, the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, next season.
