Golden State Captures 4th NBA Title in 8 Years, Favorites for 2023
Fact Checked by Michael Peters

Thursday night was a 48-minute coronation for members of the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors capped off their fourth NBA Championship in eight years, thanks to a 103-90 victory over Boston in Game 6 of the league finals.

It was a night that saw Steph Curry capture his first NBA Finals MVP trophy, after dropping 34 points on 12-of-21 shooting on an overmatched Boston squad.

It was a night where Golden State came away victorious despite being outshot (42.5%-to-41.3%) โ€” thanks to their ability to hit the same percentage of shots from behind the arc.

Above all, it was an evening where the Warriors finalized a yearlong march toward immortality, with former No. 1 pick-turned-castaway Andrew Wiggins adding 18 points and six rebounds for Steve Kerrโ€™s squad.

Now, Golden Stateโ€™s focus shifts toward trying to land reinforcements during Thursdayโ€™s NBA Draft and trying to reload so they can defend their crown come 2023.

There is no legal California sports betting.

But two different sports betting initiatives will go before voters in November.
